YOU’LL DO WHAT YOU WANT ANYWAY!

March 31, 2016

It’s been an interesting journey writing a health and wellness blog as both of these are very personal in nature. What works for me may not be relevant to you and vice versa. What I think is useful you may consider useless and similarly, things that I feel are irrelevant you may hold in high esteem. So I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone will do what they want anyway, regardless of my opinion! Fundamentally , whenever we hear another person’s opinion we will either agree, disagree, or not care!

But that’s OK by me because everyone has their own path to wellness and that is one of the key messages that I like to get through. Whether it is spiritual peace, physical fitness, joint flexibility, emotional happiness or even financial health, there is no one size fits all. That’s an issue I have with any institution that promotes a single “method or technique”. This applies to meditation just as much as fitness.

What matters to me though is that we all become conscious, independent choice makers after due  reflection and practice. There are some people out there who have never meditated who consider it a waste of time. And there are others who have never exercised that think its “wasting valuable heartbeats”! An honest person listens openly with their own biases placed aside. They then try what has been recommended with an open mind and reflect clearly on the outcome. Following that they may come to an honest independent judgment relating to how it applies to them, understanding that this may not be the same outcome for another individual!

If everyone chose the same path, life would be very boring.

A curious disposition is a healthy state of mind!
